Staircase Understairs. Monday , October 15th , 2018 - 13:10:21 PM
The area under the stairs is often neglected. Once you recognize its potential, however, you can transform it in a variety of ways. With a little thought you could turn it into an efficient storage area, designed around your particular needs; or you could open it up into a room or hallway, thus increasing available space and giving your home a more open-plan feel.
Clever planning can often compensate for a shortage of square footage. Knocking two rooms into one can provide a multifunctional area that will instantly feel bigger. You can then define zones with flooring or furniture. And bringing in more light wherever possible will also open up a room.
Then maybe you will have to think about the additional staircases like that of the basement. If you have basement at your log home then you might think of getting another extra staircase for that particular area of the house. If you have a low budget then you will surely prefer just the log staircase to the loft but with a higher budget you can choose to replace the regular staircase to the basement and get yourself a log staircase instead. It is after all important that the staircase of your home, and any staircase at that, does not look odd and out of place and so if for a few bucks you can get an additional staircase to match the floor plan of your entire home then maybe you should go for one.
